Party Boat Vacations

So you want to have your next party on a boat, what’s the first step? Boats and yachts come in all different sizes. There should be two key things you need to consider: price and number of people you would like to attend. Be sure to visit at least a couple of different ones before making a final decision. One of the fun parts of finding the perfect party boat is checking them out. Do your research and find a couple of different boats within the same area. Start your day early, but try not to schedule your appointments too close together in case you want to spend more time looking around.

The Party Boat Tour
When you arrive on appointment, there will be an associate who will tell you about what they have to offer, and then take you on a tour of the boat. When you see the boat, ask a lot of questions, and take pictures with a digital camera to look over later if you are having a difficult time making a decision. Depending on the type of party, find out if it will have everything you need. Bathroom facilities, dance floor, dining area etc are some features that may make or break your decision to hire their boat/yacht.

Food and Drinks
When you talk to the party boat company about their package deals, you should find out what they offer in terms of food and drinks. Is this a daytime or evening affair? During the day, boat parties are less expensive since your guests will be less likely to drink a lot of alcoholic beverages. If you are hosting a dinner party, the number of guests is important since you may be charged per person. Other companies may have a deal on a specific number of guests.

Alcoholic drinks. This may be your biggest expense in this whole event if you’re not careful. There are a few ways you can go about it. The most expensive is an open bar. Your next choice is to limit the type of drinks to beer and wine. If you’re really tight on funds, a cash bar is your last option.

The Dance Floor
If you’re planning on shaking the place up with some dancing, there are a couple things to consider. First, check out the dance floor facilities. Will there be enough room for everyone who wants to dance? Is there enough headroom for your taller friends? You also need to think about what you are planning to do about the music. Will you hire a DJ or a band? Does the boat company offer these services (for extra cost). These are things you need to consider, especially if you have a budget.
